How the cards are read
The Major Arcana
Twenty-two great cards, from the Fool to the World, that trace the journey of a soul: the big forces and turning points of a life.
The Minor Arcana
Fifty-six cards in four suits, like a deck of playing cards with an extra court card: the events, feelings and people of everyday life.
Wands
The suit of fire: energy, ambition, creativity and action.
Cups
The suit of water: feelings, love, relationships and intuition.
Swords
The suit of air: thought, truth, communication and conflict.
Pentacles
The suit of earth: work, money, the body and the material world.
Reversed cards
A card that falls upside down speaks of its energy blocked, delayed or turned inward. In a shuffled deck about a third of the cards lie reversed.
Birth cards
Your birth date leads to one or two cards of the Major Arcana: the Personality, how you meet the world, and the Soul, the deeper purpose beneath it.
Year card
Every year of your life also has a card of its own, found from your birthday and the year. It sets the theme of that year.
The Rider–Waite–Smith deck
Our cards are the original 1909 deck drawn by the artist Pamela Colman Smith for Arthur Edward Waite: the most widely used tarot in the world.

Questions
Is it free?
Every questionnaire and preview is free. Each full reading is an optional one-off purchase, with no subscription.
How are the cards chosen?
For a spread, the full deck of seventy-eight is shuffled for your question, and you pick the cards yourself from the face-down fan. For birth cards and year cards, your birth date leads to them directly.
Will I get the same cards if I ask again?
If you ask the same question and choose the same cards, yes: the reading belongs to that moment. Choose differently, or ask differently, and the cards change.
Can tarot predict the future?
We read tarot as a mirror for reflection: it shows the forces at work and the likely direction, and leaves the choices to you. Readings are for reflection and entertainment.
