In short
- We ask only for what a reading needs, and every answer is used in the reading.
- Your answers travel inside the link to your reading. We do not keep them in a database.
- We use no advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies remember which readings you have unlocked and, if you choose one, your language.
- We email you only if you ask us to, and marketing only if you tick that box separately.
- We never sell your data.
Who we are
Mirror & Stars is a brand of REPLAI SMART OOD (РЕПЛАЙ СМАРТ ООД), a limited liability company registered in Bulgaria (company number (EIK) 208650450, VAT number BG208650450), with its registered address at 85 Hristo Botev Street, 2228 Prolesha, Bulgaria. What we collect, and why
Depending on the reading you choose (Maya birth sign, Aztec day sign, Chinese zodiac and Five Elements, Numerology, Tarot, Past lives, Natal chart, Astrocartography, Compatibility, Dream interpretation, Your love pattern, Palm reading), the questionnaire asks for some of the following. We use each answer only to calculate and write your reading (legal basis: performing the service you asked for).
- A first name, or a full birth name for numerology, and who the reading is for.
- Date of birth, and where needed the time and place of birth, and where you live now.
- Places you are thinking of moving to or visiting (astrocartography).
- A partner's first name and date of birth (compatibility), a parent's or child's first names (name report), or the name of the other person in a love reading.
- A question you ask the tarot, and the cards you choose.
- Answers to multiple-choice questions: what you would like the reading to focus on, your love life, how you feel about a question, and similar.
- A description of a dream (dream interpretation), statements about how you feel in relationships (love pattern), and what you see on your own palm (palm reading).
- An email address, only if you give one to keep your preview or receive our emails.
We do not ask for, and do not need, your surname (except for numerology), your address, your phone number or any identity document.
Readings about other people
You can make a reading for your child, your partner or someone else, and some readings ask about a second person. Please only enter another person's details if you are entitled to, for example as a parent, or if they would be happy for you to. Their details are handled exactly like yours.
Dreams, relationships and other personal topics
Some answers can touch on very personal matters: a dream, how you feel in relationships, your childhood, or someone who has died. You choose what to write, and nothing is required beyond what you are happy to share. These answers are used only to produce your reading, are not stored in a database, and are never used for profiling or advertising. Our readings are produced by fixed, documented rules; they are for reflection and entertainment, and are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.
Where your answers are kept
When you finish a questionnaire, your answers are packed into the web address (link) of your reading. That is how your preview and your full reading are rebuilt each time you open them, and why we do not need to store them. Anyone with the link can open the reading, so share it only with people you trust. Our hosting provider keeps short technical logs of requests, which can include these links (see Retention).
Cookies
- born_under_unlocked: strictly necessary. Remembers which readings you have paid for on this device, so they stay open. Kept for one year. It contains short codes for your readings, not your answers.
- googtrans: only if you choose a language other than English from the language menu. Remembers your language. Choosing English again removes it.
We use no analytics, advertising or social-media cookies. If we ever add analytics, we will ask first and update this page.
Services we use
- Hosting: Vercel Inc. serves the website and keeps short technical request logs. Data may be processed outside the EU, including in the United States, under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Place search: Open-Meteo. When you type a town into a place question, what you type is sent from your browser to Open-Meteo's geocoding service to find the place and its time zone. No other data is sent.
- Translation: Google. Only if you choose a language other than English, the text of the pages you view, including your reading, is sent from your browser to Google Translate to be translated. If you prefer that your reading is not sent to Google, keep the site in English.
- Payments: Stripe (when payments are switched on). See Payments.
- Email provider (when email is switched on). See Email.
On a preview you can leave your email address with two separate boxes, both unticked: one to send you your preview (we use your address only for that), and one to receive our insights and offers (legal basis: your consent). We record each consent and when you gave it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe tells us that a payment succeeded and for which reading, and we keep the transaction record for as long as accounting law requires. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the data it processes.
How long we keep data
- Questionnaire answers: not stored by us; they live in your reading's link.
- Hosting request logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, usually days to a few weeks.
- Email address and consents: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (often up to ten years).
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you gave. Write to privacy@mirrorandstars.com; we reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority: in Bulgaria, the Commission for Personal Data Protection (www.cpdp.bg), or the authority where you live.
Children
Our readings are meant for adults. Parents may make a reading for their child, entering the child's details themselves. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before using the site.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, for example when payments or email are switched on, we will update this page and the date at the top.
