How the map is read
Rising lines (AC)
Where a planet was rising on the eastern horizon when you were born. There you feel that planet in yourself: your energy, your body, how you come across.
Setting lines (DC)
Where a planet was setting in the west. There you meet that planet in other people: partners, friends and rivals.
Culminating lines (MC)
Where a planet stood highest overhead. There it shapes your career, ambitions and public life.
Lower lines (IC)
Where a planet was directly underfoot. There it touches your home, family, roots and inner life.
Orb
A line's influence is strongest within about 300 km and fades by 800 km.
Relocation
Your birth chart cast for the place you live now: the planets stay in their signs, but the rising sign and houses move.
Questions
Is it free?
The questionnaire and your preview, with your four Sun lines, are free. The full map reading is an optional one-off purchase, with no subscription.
Why do I need my exact birth time?
The Earth turns fifteen degrees an hour, so a birth time that is an hour out moves every line by about 1,000 km at the equator.
Do I have to move to use it?
No. Travel, holidays, a few months abroad or simply knowing why some places feel like home are all ways people use their map.
How is it calculated?
From the true positions of the planets at the moment of your birth, the turning of the Earth and the horizon at every latitude, exactly as astrocartographers have done since the 1970s.
